About me
Hi! I’m Chui - pronounced 'Chay', the smile behind the lens - my 2 little girls are the sunshine of my life and I never tire of telling stories of their childhood as they grow up, and showing them how much we love them in both words and pictures.
I bottle up the tiniest details and most fleeting moments in photos because I want to remember everything about this time. To watch them discover, or zoom around the house, to hear their laughter, to remember the way they feel, or the gentle way that their father holds them.
One of my daughters was admitted to intensive care for a short time when she was one. It was an emotional experience that initiated my pursuit to capture our real memories and our real emotions - of joy, closeness, chaos and comfort. In a beautiful way, as if it was a vivid dream. The best dream.
Fact: I’m uncomfortable in front of the camera!
Growing up I had confidence issues in my appearance, and I'm just as self conscious as the next person when it comes to having my photo taken. So for those who feel self conscious / camera shy / awkward - I totally get it. And I make it a big part of my job to ensure that you are relaxed first and foremost.
I encourage you to be 100% you - then direct you to just play and be your children using the light and my experience to show your best side off. And I take photos of this. Nothing more, nothing less - just you spending time with your loved ones. And I promise that you’ll love these photos as much as your children will.
